Three cookies, no banner.

Which cookies and storage redsgn uses, what for, and why we don't ask for your consent.

In short

  • redsgn sets three cookies of its own. redsgn_vid is a random code, with no name or email address.
  • The code keeps count of the free images you've made and limits abuse. We also use it to count, in totals only, how often the price offer is seen and clicked.
  • redsgn_market remembers, for Furnish, which country's shops you want: the Netherlands or Croatia.
  • redsgn_lang remembers the language you last viewed the site in: Dutch, English or Croatian.
  • No advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and no social media cookies. That's why there's no cookie banner.
  • Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short-lived security cookie.

As soon as you open one of the tools. Not on the other pages.
What for
Keeping count of the free images you've made, so everyone gets a few and nobody uses the tool endlessly. We also count, in totals only, how often the price offer is shown, clicked or closed.

As soon as you open Furnish and the cookie isn't there yet, or when you choose another country yourself. Not on the other pages.
What for
Remembering which country's shops you want, so you see pieces from shops that deliver to you. The first time, we guess the country from the one Cloudflare sees for your connection (the CF-IPCountry header). We don't store that country: the cookie only holds nl or hr.

On every page: when you open a page or switch language.
What for
Remembering the language you last viewed the site in. On your first visit, with no cookie, we send you to the same page in the language your browser asks for (the Accept-Language header), or else in the language of the country Cloudflare sees for your connection (the CF-IPCountry header). If you later open redsgn.me with no language in the address, you land on the home page in your last language. We don't store your browser language or country: the cookie only holds nl, en or hr.

Storage in your browser

The tools keep your work in your own browser, so nothing gets lost when you reload or switch language:

  • sessionStorage (redsgn.tool.v1, redsgn.redesign.v1 and the price offer step): your choices, until you close the tab.
  • sessionStorage (redsgn.attr.v1): the ?ref= or utm_ labels of the link you came from, until you close the tab. We count the price offer per channel with them.
  • IndexedDB (redsgn): your photos, until you remove them in the tool or clear your browser data for redsgn.me.

This stays on your device. It's never sent to us, except the photo you choose to have an image made of.

Deleting or blocking cookies

You can delete or block cookies and stored data for redsgn.me in your browser settings. The tools keep working. Without the cookies, we count your free images per connection, using a hashed IP address, guess your country again each time you open Furnish, and pick your language again on each visit.
